Dun, Glenariff and Dall are all spate streams set in the beautiful surroundings of the Glens of Antrim. The Dun is the principal salmon river although it also gets sea trout. It is a medium (5-20m) sized river for much of its length and will get fish any time from June on if the water conditions are right but generally the latter part of the season is best from August to October. A spate river it is and tidal at the town it produces great sport especially on an evening tide. The Glenariff and Dall are smaller rivers with a few notable big holding pools and are better known for their sea trout with the occasional salmon. All legal methods are allowed, there is very nice fly fishing water on the Dun, and a ghillie or guide can be arranged with prior notice.
