Dundrum Castle

Dundrum Castle is one of the finest Norman castles in Northern Ireland. It was built in about 1177 by John de Courcy the Norman conqueror of north east Ireland, and later the castle was occupied by the Magennises. Dundrum Castle was built around the same time as Carrickfergus Castle (1180) and provides breathtaking views of the Mourne Mountains. For safety reasons children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
