Belfast Castle occupies a prominent site on the slopes of Cave Hill, some 400 ft above sea level. This magnificent sandstone building, now managed by Belfast City Council, has close associations with the city’s past. Its sense of history, the superb setting and the new, refurbished visitor centre makes Belfast Castle a ‘must’ for every visitor. Discover the history of Cave Hill from Stone Age to current times.
